#### [[Asking questions to learn is not seen as a valid way of increasing ones knowledge Rather it is instead used as an avenue of personal attack or shame]]

No one is born knowing everything, in fact we are born knowing nothing but our innate instinct for basic survival and pursuit of [[Maslow's hierarchy of needs]].
To learn we must ask questions, [[How To Read A Book|Read]], watch, [[You learn more by listening than talking|Listen]]^[[[Meetings are best spent listening rather than talking]]], research and delve into the world of knowledge that is available.
What is perfectly acceptable is to ask questions about that which you do not know in order to learn, grow, and develop. To mock this pursuit is to mock someone attempting to grow, Akin to laughing at an overweight person in the gym trying to lose excess weight.
To mock someone for their lack of knowledge while they are in the midst of it's pursuit is a common occurrence western culture. Likely it may stem from the desire to feel superior to our peers and the overly competitive nature of western culture^[Individualism].
When we perceive someone as ignorant of something we have the choice to share the knowledge with that person and aid their growth or to mock them in a imbecilic manner for their lack of omniscience.
