- Another reason that the stupid are often confident in their present understanding of anything and unwilling to entertain differing ideas whereas the intelligent understand that they truely know little and let that understanding whittle away at their confidence so that the confident stupid among the populace appear more copetant than those who truely are by have a healthy respect for their limited understanding of a thing.
