- There is nothing better to have with you on the road than common sense
- because it will serve you well
- It will Keep you safer
- You'll encounter less friction in life the more intelligent your are
- Common sense and practical wisdom are infinitely better than riches
- they will likely keep you alive in foreign and hostile territory
- You can try to pay and bribe people in strange places
- but perhaps it is just better and more sensical to just avoid those situations entirely
- A poor man cannot live for long without common sense, for he has no wealth to fall back on
- it's always better to have something infinite compared to something finite (sense, gold)
- The rich can buy their way out, but it's preferable to not be put in those situations to begin with
