aditional advice on hard/difficult books and/or reading philosophy:
- read once "dirty read" light notes
- read a 2nd time to actually mull something over, move with knowledge of main points and take better notes
- by this time you can see the big picture and the points/topics the authoer is trying to cover and can better engage with the material
