# [[grief is like a ball inside a box with a button]] --- When grief is new and fresh the ball is large and frequently rolls over and presses the button throughout the day When grief has been processed and embraced, the ball shrinks smaller while the box and button remain the same. Dealing with our grief makes the ball smaller so that it doesnt trigger the pain button quite so much throughout the day if at all. Grief and the pain and loss from it are not going to go away, so the ball will always be there, and there will be good and bad days but the ball will grow smaller and trigger the button less frequently. --- - Tags: - [[Emotions]] - [[Grief]] - [[Saddness]] - [[Therapy]] - [[Meloncholey]] - Reference: - - Related: -
